I am Camarine Heng. My name means Christ And Me Always Remain In None Else. This name was created by my dearest dad. He is someone I love and respect a lot(this is from the bottom of my heart). Even though many people think that the way he treats me is too controlling, I still love him for who he is as a person. Some may see him as someone who is very serious and some see him as a friendly person. But I see him as someone who is unique in a way which is very different from others.
First of all, I know that he loves my family A LOT! Everyday at home and on the phone, he prays for us and watches my brother and I fall asleep until our eyelids slowly close. Sometimes he kisses me on my forehead or even touches and squeeze the top of my head. He gather us for weekly family devotions and bring all four of us out for a meal or even go and visit other family's homes. We may rather stay at home and do our things. But it's for our own good as I have learnt a lot from all these. All in all, he is a 'people' person actually.
On the other hand, my brother does not see this in him like many others too. They hate him for being too controlling, demanding and being a perfectionist (I find him like that too but I still accept him for that because my Heavenly Father helps me to). He seems fierce and unapproachable to them. He will only be like that when the other person seems like he is threatening him and does not respect his authority.
However, once you get to know him as a friend, he is someone who is a friendly and fun person with an interesting sense of humour. He just wants to get to know you more and pray for you. He is just going to add you in his list of thousand of friends and people whom he prays for daily in his storeroom. This is where he can spent any part of the day to intercede and seek out God. He even told us he also cries out to God daily! Recently, he has been going in there to pray at a very late time so that (I believe) he can sleep in in the morning. (You see, he has not been sleeping very well thus dose on and off during any kind of meeting and has a really bad nose problem). Therefore he is actually a very special and different person whom people can approach and know.
P.S. I hope you can know me better in this writing of my dad and of course get to know him. :)
Comments :
I hope to get to know your dad too.
Please count the number of times you use "really".
Note your spelling eg "perfectionist not perfectionistic".
Too much use of "he"
We need to think of ways to give your writing more impact.
2 Paragraphs from a book of a writer's style which I like
At classes, he would volunteer to sit beside me and I could not reject him. He would try very hard at starting a conversation but I would always hint him to shut up by giving him a silent glare. It often worked, but after a few minutes, he would be talking again.
During lunch break, we would eat together. He always offered to help me to buy the drinks. I wanted to tell him off, to say that I preferred to eat alone, but when he returned with my favorite drink, I gave in and
just ate my meal in silence, trying hard to keep my eyes off him.
Rumours about us being an item surfaced after a few weeks. Jacky was especially concerned about disclaiming them. However, no one believed him. One day he even threatened to beat anyone who spread the rumours, and that was the first time I saw his trademark smile vanishing from his face.

Comments :
This is good for the topic "Running Away", except for that "tears..." part. You have chosen well - this story is very relevant to us, as a class.
Planning for Repaying a kindness
Introduction : It is about a person whom I really respect and learn from a lot but who is going to transit into a new work place and I'm not able to see the person as often as usual.
Para 1
- How he impacted my life-> Through listening to him in the morning devotions, GB camps, or just being around him to hear what he has to say.
- He has also impacted my dad's life and brought us closer together since my dad and I we both know what is going on in school.
- What he has taught me-> He has taught me to be teachable and always listening to the people around me as they may have needs which we may not know of until we hear them out.
Para 2
- I cried when I heard he was leaving (How did you respond?)
- What I leant from him even though it was my last time to spend time with him
Para 3
- How I wrote a card to encourage him and came for a farewell party to see how he was loved by many others (Is a card of encouragement enough to repay a kindness for this topic?)
- How I felt when I still see glimpses of him around
Conclusion
- We should cherish the people around us by repaying them a kindness even a simple note can encourage them
- They may be here but not for long!
Mind Map of Running Away
- from the starting line of a race
- from an admirer or friend
- from a problem (the most common one)
- from a person I dislike
- from stress!
Comments :
I need more details on how he made an impact on you and what he taught you.
3-4 paragraphs seem a bit short for me.
What is the "Running Away" for?
080707 - Thanks for adding the details. Makes your outline more complete. You should identify the person at the start so that we need not wonder who it is that you are talking about. I guess it should be Pastor John.

3rd Paragraph

- a man interrupted and claim that it was actually his turn to have his photoshoot taken as he had been waiting for a long time to start
4th Paragraph
- the heated argument between the two man
"Come on, hurry up, we are going to be late for the photo-shoot if you all do not leave now." my impatient father was getting annoyed by my mother and I for taking our own time to decide what to dress for our first family portrait. We were called up by the person in charge of the shop who told us that we were one of the lucky families chosen for their free photo-shoot try-out in their shop. Finally, our whole family got out of the house and our father drove us to the shop. As we had not come to the new district before, we took some time to locate the shop.
The four of us entered into this newly furnished small shop which was filled with many people who were waiting for their turn. Some couples had their photos showed on the newly built-in Mac computers by the persons in charge. While my mother and I looked around, my father stood at the end of the red couch which was near the entrance of the shop. A man wearing a similar shirt like the rest of the people working in the shop approached my father. His nametag displayed his name and his job as a shop assistant. He took down the particulars of our family and told us to hold on for a minute while he arranged for our photo-shoot.
“Where do you think you are going? When is it my turn? I have been waiting for an hour for my turn,” a distraught looking stranger interrupted the man. “And no one has entertained me all this time while this man who had just come was taken care first! What kind of service is this?” Heated words burst out of his mouth and his face was boiling with rage. This alerted everyone on the shop who began wondering what was going on.
The embarrassed shop assistant tried to justify his cause but the man kept firing his words at him, giving him no chance to explain himself at all. Large droplets of saliva spilled out of his mouth at the same time.
"Please, sir," the man whisphered till he ejaculated to get his attention. "Listen! We have been very busy trying to entertain so many people since morning and it's not easy to recognise you after meeting so many other people in a day."
The berated man who did not seem to see any reason at all in his fury just burst out even louder until the echoes of his piercing words were heard in the shop. What was the point of telling him any sense when he is so angry and hot-headed. I thought secretly.
Then it seems like my father heard what I thought as I saw him dragging the man out of the shop by pulling his collar. Outside the shop and out of everyone's view, he tried to calm him down but he just walked away after making the scene in the shop. Now out of everyone's view, the people in the shop continued doing what they were to do.
"Sorry about that. Thanks for getting him out of the shop. I wanted to settle him first but I mistook you instead of him. Maybe it's because he seemed so unapproachable as time went by and it's so difficult to remember who was who." the apologetic gentleman cleared the matter with my father who appeared flustered after he came back into the shop. "Now we can get back to where we started."
With our make up still on, we all went for a scrumptious dinner in the area and with our family photos in a CD for free!
What I've just learnt in the English lesson on 3 August 2007: We need to pay our Singapore ministers enough so that they do not find other ways to earn money and get corrupted!!
